Although I wasn't as close to Brett as others, I know he had a great dedication to God, family, and friends. I just returned from India from a year of missions work and didn't know Brett was serving in Afghanistan. I was shocked by the news. People can truely say about Brett that his life was summed up by this phrase, "To live is Christ, and to die is gain."
